Father Reginald Jean-Mary To Be Honored In North Miami

North Miami –  Father Reginald Jean-Mary, Catholic priest and leader of the iconic Notre Dame D’Haiti Church in Little Haiti, will be honored by North Miami Mayor Andre D. Pierre and Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho on Tuesday, April 20th.

  The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. at North Miami City Hall, Council Chambers, 776 NE 125 Street. “Father Reggie” not only leads the largest congregation of Haitian-Americans in South Florida, but he is also known for his leadership in the community by serving on local boards and advising local agencies on the needs of South Florida’s immigrant and diverse population.  


Father Reginald Jean-Mary

Born in Haiti and a polyglot with the command of five languages, Father Reginald embodies the diversity of the community  in which he serves.   He was ordained as priest by the Archdiocese of Miami in 2001 and became the lead pastor of Notre Dame D’Haiti in 2004.    

Mayor Pierre will honor Father Reginald with a key to the city of North Miami during the ceremony. A light reception catered by Chef Creole and sponsored by Lexus of North Miami, will follow the ceremony.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m.
