Delcita and Stamma (Jooky Jam)

Ova Mi Dead Body explores a number of typical significant issues affecting regular families. These include single parenting, child abuse and human emotions following the death of a loved one. The play tells the very comedic story of Delcita as a widow struggling to make ends meet after the death of her husband and not knowing whether he left a will. As she continues her search for the will, Milton (Michael Nicholson), her brother in law, presents a will naming him sole beneficiary of the estate, and attempts to evict Delcita from the family home. Delcita eventually finds a will. The question now is, who is in possession of the legal will?

As a salute to Father’s there will be a special performance before the play by Sharon Forrester including her big # 1 hit “Jamaican Man”.

Tickets for this entertaining evening of music and laughter are $35.00 for general seating and $40.00 for the reserved seats and are available from selected West Indian outlets and the Coral Springs Box Office. Log on to www.sunshinetheatrecompany.com to purchase tickets online or to get a preview of the play.

Following on the recent sold out success of Shebada in GhettOut where many procrastinators were not able to get tickets, we strongly recommend getting your tickets early to avoid this problem as we expect a similar demand.
