“Connections”, A New Public Affairs Series About Issues Affecting South Florida’s Haitian/Caribbean Community To Debut In March

MIAMI – WPBT2, in an effort to engage all communities with an emphasis on the Haitian and larger Caribbean community, is launching Connections, an original public affairs program aimed at uniting the different perspectives present in the South Florida community.

Connections will be hosted by MJ Altidor Domond, neighborhood organizer, entrepreneur, writer, radio host and mother of four children. Altidor Domond has sixteen years experience as a neighborhood organizer for the City of Delray Beach. She has also worked as a program director and community involvement specialist for H.A.N.D.S of Delray Beach. Her experience in the media as a radio/talk show host and public speaker and in the literary field as the writer of an upcoming memoir, children’s book, and reflective essays will all come into play in her new role.


The series will bring together host Altidor Domond, educators, attorneys, doctors, legislators, clergy, business leaders, and people from all perspectives for lively exchanges, information, and enlightening insights into pressing issues of the day. Connections’ broadcast premiere is March 22, 2009. It will air monthly on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. and will repeat on WPBT2 the following Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
