Community groups join forces in assisting homeowners

LAUDERDALE LAKES– The Eastgate Homeowners Association as joined forces with the Jamaica Ex-Soldier Association to adopt a home in the Eastgate community of Lauderdale Lakes. The group will assist a single homeowner with much needed minor repairs and painting.

Mr. Anthony Bedward, president of the Jamaica Ex-soldiers Association says, “the members are pleased with the partnership with the Eastgate Homeowners Association and invite residents to bring a brush and join the group on Saturday, April 29th at 9am”

The group will paint the inside and outside of the home. This is an effort to assist the family and avoid additional code enforcement action by the city. This is the 2nd major project of the Eastgate Homeowners Association, the oldest Homeowners Association in the city. “This is what neighbors should do, we are the city with a heart in the Center of Broward county” said Eastgate President, Beverly Williams. This is how we show our love.

The Jamaica Ex-soldier was organized in 1995 and provides assistance to their members as well as scholarships and volunteer work to assist needy resident in the community.
