City of Miramar Commissioner Messam to host Open For Business Event

MIRAMAR – Commissioner Wayne Messam, in conjunction with the City of Miramar’s Procurement Division, will present an “Open for Business” event on Thursday, March 6 from 6:30pm -9:30 pm at the Miramar Cultural Arts Center located at 2400 Civic Center Place.

The purpose of the event is to bring together government procurement professionals and companies interested in doing business with local government. Attendees will also be informed about the projects associated with the Revenue Bond recently passed

Commissioner Messam stated that, “The city commission has made an investment in our city to improve public safety, parks, and infrastructure by passing a $60 million Revenue Bond. The Revenue Bond presents several contract opportunities for our local business community. I encourage all businesses to learn about Miramar’s procurement process and our bidding opportunities.”

Local procurement organizations will be on hand to discuss upcoming projects that businesses may be interested in bidding on.

In addition, a panel discussion will address the finer points of “doing business with government.”

If you wish to have a table at the event where you could discuss any issues, programs, policies with the attendees, please call us at 954-602-3054.
