City of Miami launches AM radio station

MIAMI – City of Miami of residents can now tune in to 1680 AM to listen to emergency and City of Miami information! The station will be heard within City limits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with messages in English, Spanish and Creole.

City of Miami Radio 1680 AM will provide up-to-date information during time of emergencies with important contact information, phone numbers and reminders. During non-emergencies, the station will serve as another venue for the city to disseminate information to its residents about city services and phone numbers in addition to the weather forecast.

City of Miami Radio 1680 AM is the City of Miami’s municipal government access radio station.

The Office of Communications operates City of Miami radio, which is accessible to all City of Miami residents. City of Miami Radio provides important information to its listeners, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Its mission is to provide important information for and about the City of Miami and its citizens in an effort to educate, inform and enhance our community, allowing the city to reach a large audience, including its diverse ethnic and cultural communities. The department strives to provide accurate and current information about city government and serve as a source of information in times of emergency.
