Celebrating Five Years Of Reggae Music On HOT 105

HOLLYWOOD – On January 13, 2001, reggae music was made a fixed part of the programming schedule on South Florida’s #1 radio station with the Best Variety of Hits and Oldies. As this reggae programming continues in the year 2006, C.A.M.E.O. Inc., along with Rootical Music, is proud to present “Reggae Runnin’s Gone 5”, on Saturday, April 29th, 2006.

This will be a celebration and fundraising event commemorating the 5th anniversary of radio broadcasting of Reggae Runnin’s on WHQT, HOT-105-FM.

This event will be held at Tavern on the Green, 315 S. 62nd Ave., Hollywood. The event will start at 8 p.m. with special features and happenings until 10 p.m.

At 10 p.m., Reggae Runnin’ hosts, Tanto Irie and Lady English, will broadcast live on location until 1am. Inside there will be a continuous dance party atmosphere featuring South Florida’s very popular reggae-party disc jockey, Mark Swaby, and a live band performing until closing.

Patrons will have the opportunity to participate in winning the many prizes and giveaways provided by sponsors and contributors to the celebration. They will also have the opportunity to participate in product sampling being carried out by sponsors for a limited time.

Admission to attend the celebration is absolutely free. A voluntary donation will be taken to aid in the many worthwhile efforts of C.A.M.E.O.

The Caribbean American Medical Educational Organization, C.A.M.E.O., is a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization that provides free medical services to the poor and needy residents of Jamaica, St. Vincent, Belize, and plans to expand these services into Guyana, Haiti and other Third World Countries. On the mission trips, the volunteers augment government run clinics to attend to anywhere from 400 to 800 patients in a given week. Just last February, a seven year old boy returned home to St. Vincent and the Grenadines with prosthetic legs, and now he is finally able to get up from his knees and walk. This was made possible through the aid and support of C.A.M.E.O. The team members of C.A.M.E.O. fund these missions out of their own pockets, while giving up vacation time to help those in need.

This event will be produced by Trilogy Productions Ltd., an active member of the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce. Trilogy Productions is known for producing events of the utmost in quality and professionalism.

Reggae Runnin’s on HOT 105FM is the #1 ranked three-hour reggae show that focuses on reggae music that touched an earlier generation and the generations that came after, and continues to inspire, evoke and entertain those from all walks of life.
