CASA DE CAMPO APPOINTS PETER BONELL AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

La Romana, Dominican Republic – The Board of Directors of Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic announce the appointment of Peter Bonell as its Chief Marketing Officer.

In this newly-created role, Bonell will be responsible for overseeing international sales, marketing (inclusive of advertising, public relations and branding) and revenue efforts at Casa de Campo – the resort most famous for its stellar Pete Dye-designed golf courses and numerous golf accolades, recently including Leading Golf Resort in the Dominican Republic and Caribbean, as well as the Dominican Republic’s Leading Hotel and DR’s Leading Resort at the World Travel Awards of the Caribbean and The Americas.

“Considering Mr. Bonell’s extensive background in the industry, the decision to have him join Casa de Campo was a very easy one,” said Jose “Pepe” Fanjul Jr., one of the principal owners of Casa de Campo. “Peter’s passion, energy and results oriented mentality will undoubtedly yield impressive returns for the resort.”

Bonell has held prominent executive positions throughout the hospitality industry, most notably including Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Grupo Punta Cana; Vice-President of Sales and Marketing Ginn Resorts; Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Colonial Williamsburg; Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Hershey Entertainment and Resorts; and Vice-President of Sales/Director of Marketing at The Broadmoor in Colo.

Additionally, as President of Performance Golf Marketing Alliance, LLC., Bonell has masterfully negotiated numerous partnerships with premier names including PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour, Golf Digest, The Golf Channel, ESPN, etc. Bonell has also received the respected CHME designation – a prestigious title awarded by The Hospitality Sales & marketing Association International.
