“CTO recognizes the important role that travel agents play in bookings to the Caribbean” said Sylma Brown, Acting Director of Marketing for the Caribbean Tourism Organization, “At a time when the travel industry is affected by the effects of the global economic crisis, we are encouraged by the commitment of our travel agent members in coming to Jamaica to take part in discussions on how they can reinvent themselves to maximize sells to our region.”

The three day program also includes motivational presentations, leadership development training, as well as a special presentation on Jamaica by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB). A series of educational tours have also been planned to familiarize the travel agents with Jamaica’s tourism product.

During the retreat, the CTO Chapters will also make donations to three Jamaican charities.
