Caribbean media powerhouse becomes co-owner of Dream Makers Real Estate
BRONX, NY – Caribbean media powerhouse, LinkUp Media as part of Project BLINK, 1st Republic Mortgage Bankers and Dream Makers Real Estate have made the BIG LINK to LinkUp Media, in a multi-million dollar venture, that now makes LinkUp Media CEO David “Squeeze” Annakie the major shareholder, and Vice President of Marketing of Dream Makers Real Estate LLC.
LinkUp Media—the parent company of New York’s LinkUp Radio 93.5 FM WVIP, PLUSH TV, Caribbean Link weekly newspaper, and JAMROCK Magazine—is the largest Caribbean-owned media house in the Tri-state area, serving over 2 million Caribbean-Americans.
Seeking to bring the company to the next level, Annakie recently launched Project BLINK—the Big LINK— introducing new media entities, making bold improvements in the company’s radio and television programming, and taking on new business expansion opportunities.
This million+ dollar real estate venture with 1st Republic and Dream Makers, marks the biggest and boldest step LinkUp Media has made in its eleven-year history.
“It is time to go out of the box,” notes LinkUp Media’s Chairman David “Squeeze” Annakie. “Since our inception, over ten years ago, we have always maintained a standard that was a cut above the competition. Now we are the largest Caribbean-owned media company in the Tri-state area, and have basically blown our competitors out of the water, in terms of media. It is now time to take on something more and to step out of our arena and really take LinkUp Media to a whole other level.”
“This union is a convergence of the incredible resources of three powerful organizations,” states 1st Republic and Dream Makers president Scott Sisskind.
Sisskind also notes that the new partnership serves as a platform to get the community more involved in the Real Estate market, as both home-seekers and home-sellers have unprecedented access to and exposure on multiple television and radio programs, the weekly newspaper, and JAMROCK Magazine.
“According to Fannie Mae, 4 out of 10 tenants are already qualified to buy a home. We want to reach them,” adds Sisskind. “The ability of LinkUp Media to provide financing and Real Estate information to the public, is going to provide a link of home ownership education to the community that is unprecedented.”
A pioneering force in the community outreach, LinkUp Media has long been an education force in the Caribbean-American community, paving the way for Immigration, Personal Injury, Criminal, and Family Law advice, and awareness of health issues such as HIV/AIDS.
