Caribbean Food Delights donates school supplies to students

NEW YORK – To help some students prepare for another school year, Royal Caribbean Bakery and Caribbean Food Delights recently gave some students Back-to-School gift sets worth a little over $100 each.

On-air radio personality, Conroy Allison, from 93.5 FM has been giving the Back-to-School gift sets away for the past two weeks. The lucky winners of the gift sets will receive items such as a tote bag, pair of scissors, lunch bag, note pad, monthly planner, paper hole-puncher, calculator, stapler and other school items.

CEO and President of Caribbean Food Delights, Mr. Vincent HoSang, and his family believe in education for our youth and have always supported various educational programs.

Caribbean Food Delights had given six full scholarships, totaling US$150,000, to students at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. This year, they donated computers and printers worth over US$10,000 to Jamaican students. Every year in April, Caribbean Food Delights serve over 2,700 meals to over 300 student athletes at the Penn Relays which they’ve been doing for over ten years.

Mr. HoSang visits schools and gives motivational speeches to inspire students. Additionally, students from local schools visit and tour the facilities both in Mt. Vernon and Tappan, New York.

During those tours, students get the opportunity to learn about Royal Caribbean Bakery and Caribbean Food Delights. They are shown how the production process takes place and get to sample some of the products they observed being produced that day. The feedback received from students is that they are impressed and inspired by Mr. HoSang’s accomplishments, his life and companies, how he started and where he is going.

HoSang’s passion to give back to the community and support educational programs for the youth has been ongoing for 28 years and will continue for years to come. He believes that the youth need to be inspired and mentored to help them reach their dreams and goals.
