Caribbean Bar hosts citizenship drive

MIAMI– On Saturday, April 28, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Caribbean Bar Association in partnership with Western Union and the Miramar Democratic Club, will be hosting a Citizenship and Voters Registration Drive at the Holy Family Episcopal Church, located at 18501 N.W. 7th Avenue, Miami, Florida.

To apply for citizenship, each candidate must have their passport and green card (issued for at least 5 years or 3 years if continuously married to a US citizen); a list of places lived and worked over the past 5 years; a list of all overseas trips taken since receiving the Green Card and the filing fee of $400.00.

A photographer will take Application photographs on site and BankUnited will be on site to sell the money orders. To register to vote, each candidate will need proof of citizenship and proof of residency in the county.
