Caribbean-American National named Publisher and Editor of South Florida based media company, ICABA™ Media Holdings
FORT LAUDERDALE – ICABA™ Media Holdings, LLC (ICABA™) announced its partnership with Dexter Bridgeman, president and CEO of Network Publications, naming Bridgeman as publisher for the South Florida market.
Jerome Hutchinson, Jr., ICABA™’s president and CEO, stated that he is “excited about the partnership,” as Bridgeman has “demonstrated great foresight and leadership as the founder and publisher of Success South Florida and MIA magazines. We are excited about having his talent, expertise and leadership on our team.”
Bridgeman described the venture as an “exciting opportunity that embodies the true spirit of the Kwanzaa principle Ujamaa,” meaning cooperative economics. “This partnership is another example of a growing trend of building successful relationships within the black business community.”
Dexter Bridgeman
The partnership, Hutchinson explained, is one of traditional media and new media that will provide an “enhanced platform of interactive communication and information for black professionals and entrepreneurs in South Florida.”
In publishing since 1992, Bridgeman has produced print editions for organizations including the National Association of Accountants and the National Black MBA Association. His South Florida publications share in that success.
“It just makes sense,” Bridgeman said about the partnership. “If two entities want to achieve success at a common goal, you can pool your expertise—which every business needs—cultivate it, and become an extremely successful operation. More will be accomplished.”

Hutchinson added that Bridgeman was also “a strong supporter of my late wife, Pam Hutchinson, in her successful launch of the Who’s Who In Black South Florida directory in 2007.”
Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Bill Diggs described the two media organization’s partnering as “a powerful move” and “a positive contribution to the growth of the business community. I am looking forward to the great ideas that will come out of this partnership.”
South Florida entrepreneur Kesha Davis added that it gives her “great joy to see two powerful men of color in the business world conjoin their expertise. I see it as not only a wise business decision, but an effort to launch the expansion of black businesses throughout South Florida, as many can benefit from their model of garnering expertise.”
Cynthia Roby
ICABA™ also announced its partnership with Bluestocking Ink, Limited (Bluestocking), naming its principal, Cynthia Roby, as South Florida editor for print and online properties.
Hutchinson described Roby as an “excellent editor and writer who has a true passion for her craft.”
Roby also worked with Pam Hutchinson on Who’s Who In Black South Florida, as well as publications in Chicago, New York, Nevada and South Florida.
“We are looking forward to Cynthia delivering the same level of excellence for ICABA™,” Hutchinson said.
ICABA™ Media Holdings launched in November 2008, and is preparing to enter other markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Louisville, and Denver, within the next year.
