Broward Alliance of Caribbean Educators (BACE) Reach out to Support and Inform Caribbean Parents in Broward

FT. LAUDERDale – On June 29, 2013, Broward Alliance of Caribbean Educators will host a free seminar intended to inform parents of school-aged children (grades K-12) on how to meet their child’s educational needs.

Caribbean teachers and administrators, some of whom are also parents, will share how to navigate the school system to ensure children receive the best learning experience to be ready for college and/or a career.

This event will take place at William Dandy Middle School located in Fort Lauderdale. Food and refreshments will be served, as well as prizes will be distributed throughout the event.

To RSVP call 954-915-4333 or register at http://www.baceflorida.org/parent seminar.

Topics include: adjusting to a new school system and/or new country, using the many services offered to students and their parents including academic support, social services, family counseling, testing information, and an overview of the current educational trends that directly impact students.

This is a great opportunity for parents to become informed, learn about tools and resources to help their children succeed, why as a parent, school involvement is important, how BACE can assist, and much more.

Broward Alliance of Caribbean Educators (BACE), is a not-for-profit community based-organization, whose members are educational professionals of Caribbean descent.
