BET J Spotlights The Beautiful Destination Of Antigua And Barbuda

WASHINGTON, D.C. – BET J sparks up its Saturday “Island Lime” programming with a half-hour programming special featuring the twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, and the unique tourist offerings that the twin-island nation provides. The Caribbean special is part of an overall partnership with Antigua and Barbuda aimed at attracting BET J viewers to experience the destination’s breathtaking sites and resorts, culture and entertainment.

The DESTINATION: ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA special, which premiered earlier this month, repeats on Saturday, November 24 at 1:00 p.m. and re-airs at 7:00 p.m. The special is hosted by noted actor Malik Yoba, who recently starred in the Tyler Perry-directed hit Why Did I Get Married? featuring Janet Jackson and Perry himself. Yoba is also known for his memorable roles in New York Undercover, Girlfriends, and Cool Runnings.

Joining Yoba on camera is Antiguan beauty and singing sensation Shermain Jeremy as the duo gives viewers an up-close look at Antigua and Barbuda’s numerous tourist attractions, including the idyllic resorts and restaurants; outdoor activities like horseback riding and snorkeling; and the very popular Antigua Sailing Week.

BET J also launched an aggressive advertising campaign this summer which will run through the end of the year as part of its efforts to increase both visibility and tourism to Antigua. “Our viewers consistently respond positively to our Caribbean specials and this show is particularly fun with Malik as the host.
