Bermuda’s ‘Audacity Ball’ sold out!

WASHINGTON, DC – The Bermuda Department of Tourism-sponsored “Audacity of Hope Gala & Ball” has sold out, Premier Dr. the Hon. Ewart F. Brown, Minister of Tourism & Transport announced Wednesday, January 14.

The 450-seat black-tie event will take place at the Fairmont Washington D.C. Hotel January 17th, as part of Inauguration weekend in the U.S. capital.

Barack Obama will be sworn-in as the 44th President of the United States January 20th.

After yesterday’s public announcement of the Tourism-sponsored event and subsequent news coverage, telephones at the Government switchboard and at the Cabinet Office have been inundated with calls today from Bermudians seeking tickets. They are being informed that the event is sold out.

Premier Brown said: “Our target audience for this event is affluent, upwardly mobile people who might consider coming or returning to Bermuda as a leisure traveler. We have been very successful in attracting those kinds of people to the ‘Audacity Ball’. I expect it to be a spectacular evening for promoting Bermuda.”

Confirmed attendees include people from the world of politics, entertainment and business.

The venue will be adorned with Bermuda “feel the love” branding.

Tickets for the “Audacity of Hope Gala & Ball” sold for $350.00 each.
