Bahamian Teen Queen Prepares To Represent Caribbean Region At Int’l Pageant

Yamease Swain gears up for Miss Teenager Beauty Pageant in Guatemala

Nassau, The Bahamas – Representing the beautiful, flavorful and picturesque Caribbean Region in the fourth edition of Miss Teenager beauty pageant is 18 year old Yamease Swain. This 5′ 8″ Bahamian teen beauty ambassador will travel to the, “Heart of the Mayan World,” October 2nd – 9th to compete for the opportunity to become an international teen beauty ambassador.

After being crowned Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas 2011/12 in August, Yamease was bestowed the honor of representing The Caribbean by the organizers of the prestigious Miss Teenager Organization.

As a teen beauty ambassador for The Caribbean, Yamease is expecting to provide a burst of cultural flavor and variety as the only contestant who will represent an entire region.

Already, the teen Caribbean beauty has garnered the attention of local and regional media support as she has been featured on Caribbean EMagazine and Carib Fashion TV.com. In the days leading up to her departure for Guatemala to compete against some 40 other delegates, Yamease is expected to receive additional features on various Caribbean news agency sites.

Currently a sophomore student majoring in Psychology at the College of The Bahamas – Northern Campus, Yamease has a special interest in public speaking, modeling, spending time with her family and friends and being a positive role model for her peers. With a strong command of the runway and impeccable oratory skills, Yamease is expected to provide the international stage with a refreshing mix of beauty, intelligence and grace. Having captured the Best Catwalk Skills Award in her divisional pageant and Best in Evening Gown, Best Judges Interview and Best Body in her national pageant participation; officials at Theodore Elyett Productions anticipate great success from the stunning teen beauty.

Looking forward to the competition in Guatemala and commenting on the huge task at hand Yamease says, “This is truly a wonderful and exciting opportunity. Not only do I have the honor of representing my country, but I have also been appointed the task to represent the entire Caribbean. The diverse people, vibrant culture and breathtaking scenery are the very personification of what a queen should be – diverse, vibrant and breathtaking. My aim is to be myself, to give it my all and allow my personality, talent and intellect to shine in every aspect of this competition. I am really looking forward interacting with the other contestants, making new friends, learning about their cultures and above all; return with the international title. My hope is that this experience will prove to be one that will impact my life in a positive and powerful way.”


Yamease is being prepared for the upcoming Miss Teenager pageant by organizers of The Bahamas’ largest and most successful teen pageant; Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Organization. Yamease is excited about capturing the title of Miss Teenager, which will be the seventh international title garnered by Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Organization.
