Bahamian author finds poetry in family, friends and faith
WESTON – As a New Year begins, resolutions are often made with regards to family, friends and faith.
Collis Sherman Bell, an educator and novice author, who was born in Bimini, Bahamas and currently lives in South Florida has published her first book, “Pockets of My Heart”. Bell’s book celebrates family, friends and faith and is a labor of love.

Collis Sherman Bell, is employed by the Broward County School Board and works at a local elementary school. She is an alumnus of Prairie View A&M University of Texas, an HBCU and a member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (A Public Service Sorority founded in 1913).
Bell has resided in several foreign countries and several states in the USA. She currently resides in Weston, with her husband Willie, their children, Candice and W.J. and their pet dog, Beauty.
