Bahamas Launches “In Deep Love” Wedding Campaign Event Seeks To Break Guinness Book of World Records For Largest Ever Multiple Couples Undersea Weddings

PLANTATION – Principals of In Deep Love (Bahamas) Limited, a Bahamian destination events management company, are pleased to announce the exciting launch of “In Deep Love Bahamas” wedding campaign, a unique program that seeks to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest ever recorded multiple couples under sea weddings held simultaneously.

The attempted Guinness Book of World Record in undersea weddings is scheduled to coincide with Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017 and will take place in Grand Bahama, one of 700 islands in The Bahamas.

Organizers hope to break the Guinness Book of World Record for undersea weddings, which is currently set at 34, and achieve a record-breaking number of 100 persons, making it a historic fete for the Islands of The Bahamas.

According to Mr. Alfred Collie, Jr. creator and principal of In Deep Love (Bahamas) Limited, the “In Deep Love Bahamas” wedding event will not only foster destination weddings, scuba diving and ecotourism in The Bahamas, but showcase its incredible seas while bringing focus to their conservation”.

“We are working to achieve a number of objectives by bringing couples from around the world to marry in the turquoise, crystal clear waters of The Bahamas. We also hope to unite the Bahamian people and the world behind a novel concept that brings immense international attention to ocean conservation while at the same time creating the ultimate wedding photo ops and memories.”

Freda Malcolm, Director of Romance for the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (BMOT) said, “BMOT is very excited about the “In Deep Love Bahamas” wedding promotion and fully endorses it. We have already received a huge amount of media interest from around the world, on the coverage of this great event, including news organizations from the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Canada and the United States of America,” she said.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization has declared 2016 as the ‘Year of Romance for the Caribbean’ and in November 2015 The Islands of The Bahamas was named the “Leading Wedding Destination” at the World Travel Awards in Morocco.
