Antigua and Barbuda Association of Florida to celebrate the country’s 25th Year of Independence
MIAMI – On Saturday, November 11, 2006, Antigua and Barbuda Association of Florida Inc. will commemorate the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of their Country’s Independence from Great Britain at their annual Banquet at the Inverrary Golf & Country Club in Lauderhill.
Antigua and Barbuda Association of Florida Inc is a 501(C) 3 tax-exempt organization that is committed to helping local and national residents.
Through gracious donations and support they have been able to donate funds to the Good Shepherd Home for children in Antigua; Grenada’s Hurricane relief efforts; donated computers to the Ministry of Education; sponsored two youths to the 2004 NAACP Youth Summit; helped with hurricane relief efforts of Antigua & Barbuda and Montserrat; provided assistance to the Fiennes Institute in Antigua; assisted many bereaved Antiguans with funeral expenses; provided support and financial assistance to Nationals such as Javol Peters, whose rare brain disease was of concern to many humanitarians nationwide.
In order to make this year’s event a memorable ocassion, they are reaching out to the community by inviting them to participate in this effort by advertising in their journal and attending the Annual Banquet with a tax-deductible donation.
