Album release party in “Paradise” for Causion
The Hard Rock Café will explode with the pulsating sounds of the islands, as Antigua’s reggae ambassador, Causion, launches his latest effort with a free to the public album release party.
The party is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, at 6:00 p.m. at the Seminole Paradise Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, located on State Road 7, just north of Stirling Road in Hollywood.
Entitled One Life to Live, the album – regarded as his best effort to date – was co-produced with longtime collaborators Hopeton Lindo and Syl Gordon, along with the support of ace engineer Jason Sterling for Cell Block and Jasfar Records. Musicians on the album include Sly & Robbie, I-Paul, Lenkey, Al Isaac, Vince McCoy and Dean Fraser; with vocal assistance from Hopeton Lindo and Germany’s reggae sensation, Gentleman.
The album release party will feature a dynamic and charismatic performance by Causion which will include selections from One Life to Live. There will also be special performances by invited guests Hopeton Lindo, Fiona, Mical Rustle and 2 of a Kind. Radio personalities John-T & C-Roy of WAVS 1170 AM and Simon Templer of WWRL 1600 AM (NYC) will play host and the event will be aired live on VIBEZ 101.9 FM radio and on the internet at www.vibezfm.com
A conscious lover’s rock exponent, Causion, aka Gregory Collin Bailey, first enjoyed recording success in 1988 when he topped the Caribbean charts with the single African Girl. In 1990, he took up residency in New York and released a series of successful singles followed by his debut album, Time Will Tell, released in 1998. He has toured throughout the USA and Caribbean with some of Reggae’s best and most renowned artists such as Rita Marley, Third World, Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor and Judy Mowatt.
