Air Jamaica adds extra flights to meet Christmas demand

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Air Jamaica will be increasing the number of flights it operates into Jamaica for the upcoming holiday season.

During the period December 15, 2007 to January 10, 2008, Air Jamaica will operate an additional 7000 seats between New York and Jamaica, an additional 1000 seats between Atlanta and Jamaica, and an additional 700 seats between Toronto and Jamaica.

There are no additional flights scheduled for South Florida at this time, but with four (4) flights per day to Fort Lauderdale and two (2) flights per day to Miami there will be adequate capacity on the South Florida routes.

Air Jamaica recognizes that many passengers need to travel with excess baggage this time of year and would therefore encourage travelers to plan ahead taking advantage of Air Jamaica’s Cargo freight service.

“The decision to add these extra flights is a direct response to the increased demand for additional seats during the busy Christmas period”, says Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Paul Pennicook. He says that Air Jamaica is always very keen to respond to the needs of their valued customers.
