Academy Award Winning Gospel Reggae Artiste Jason Mighty launches debut album in Barbados

BARBADOS – Gospelfest 2008 gets ready to welcome multi-award winning artiste, International gospel reggae singer, Jason Mighty, will be launching his debut album prayerfully entitled, CORNERSTONE on May 25 at the 2008 Barbados Gospelfest.

The twenty-seven year old artiste has a history of chart-topping collaborations such as, “World Changer “, “Ketch A Fire with Prodigal Son”, “Careful featuring Goddy Goddy”, “Turning Around”, “Mr. Mention”, and most recently, “Senorita feat. International hip-hop artiste – Promise”, and “One Soul” featuring DJ Nicholas.

“Launching on Gospelfest is a wonderful way to thank the people of Barbados for their support. I have been left in utter amazement at the level of love and acceptance that has been shown to my ministry. I really want to give them a performance of a lifetime on Gospelfest 2008. Last year was wonderful, but this year will be far better,” says Mighty.



After ministering to over several thousand people at Gospelfest 2007, Jason Mighty has been receiving numerous reports of the island wide acceptance of his ministry. “Just yesterday I spoke with a close friend in Barbados and he informed me that an album single entitled, Can’t Walk Alone, has crossed over into the mainstream market,” smiles Mighty, “I thank God for that, as I am aiming to present the same message of salvation via a different method. The gospel of Jesus Christ must be accessible for all people – no matter their race, creed, color, or religion.

Opening with, A Prayer (The National Anthem of Jamaica), a patriotic and soul stirring rendition of the country’s anthem, Jason Mighty composes what can only be known as melodic mastery on the hit track. The album finishes with a brief section of Mighty’s testimony on a catchy R&B inspired grove entitled, “Nobody Cares”. “Listening to this album can be best compared to sampling an exquisite, exotic cuisine that delights all aspects of the senses,” states E.C.
