Jamaica’s Ambassador-designate to the US arrives in Washington DC

WASHINGTON, DC – Ms Audrey Marks, Ambassador-designate of Jamaica to the United States of America and the Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States arrived in the United States on 17th May 2010.

On completion of the credentialing process the Ambassador-designate will assume responsibility for Jamaica’s relations with the United States, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and will hold the distinction as Jamaica’s first female envoy to the United States and the Organization of American States.


Ms Audrey Marks

A career entrepreneur, Ms Marks has founded and operated numerous businesses, including the highly successful Paymaster (Jamaica) Ltd. She is the recipient of numerous citations and recognition from her peers and various organizations for her pioneering work, entrepreneurial endeavours and commitment to social causes.
