100 Black Men Of South Florida To Provide Food To Residents During Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
SOUTH FLORIDA – 100 Black Men of South Florida in partnership with Publix, GCN and UPS continued their tradition of providing deserving residents with holiday cheer.
100 Black Men of South Florida members, and volunteers assembled Thanksgiving food baskets for over 6,500 South Florida residents during the 100’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, this past weekend at Publix in Aventura.
Now in its 27th year, the civic organization has purchased and assembled baskets of traditional Thanksgiving meals to more than 100,000 people in the Miami-Dade county area.
Residents have been served from as far as Florida City to Sunrise.
These baskets are prepared by 100 members and students from the organization’s Leadership Academy program.
Through community partnerships, food suppliers like Publix and the assistance of the parcel delivery company, UPS, these residents have a great reason to cheer during these hard economic times.
