2nd Annual Jamaica Diaspora Golf Open Will Tee Off at Montego Bay’s Cinnamon Hill Golf Course

NEW YORK -The Jamaican-American Chamber of Commerce will host the 2nd Annual Jamaica Diaspora Golf Open — Thursday, May 29 to Monday, June 2, 2014 — at Montego Bay’s Cinnamon Hill Golf Course. The tournament will benefit the Jamaica Children’s Project.

This three-day event is an opportunity for both members and non-members of the Jamaican American Chamber of Commerce to network and forge new business relationships while enjoying a few rounds of golf at Jamaica’s premiere courses and raising funds for the Jamaica Children’s Project. Players participating in the tournament have the chance to win myriad prizes from a US$50,000 hole in one to closest to the pin and whatever else.

“The Jamaican American Chamber of Commerce founded the Jamaica Children’s Project charity in 1993 and this golf tournament is our premier fundraising event,” said George Patsalos, president of the Jamaican American Chamber of Commerce. “This year we expect to double the number of players and our contribution to the charities we support in Jamaica.”

Participants can book a package including three rounds of golf, all-inclusive accommodations at the Hilton Rose Hall, round-trip transfers from Montego Bay airport, tournament commemorative golf shirt and hat. Early-bird rates start at US$889 per person double or US$1199 single before April 30. Players may also opt to take advantage of the three day golf-only rate at US$325 or the one day rate at US$175. Rates increase as of May 1, 2014.
