Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications Adds New Talent To Its Roster

CORAL GABLES – Award-winning travel and hospitality public relations firm Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications (CAMC) has added veteran destination and brand marketing specialist Lesley-Ann Thompson to its talent roster.

Miss Thompson brings with her a wealth of marketing and public relations experience that spans the tourism, economic development and advertising industries.  As CAMC’s newest team member, she is responsible for developing creative content for use in print and digital formats, and working with traditional journalists and social media influencers to generate national and regional coverage for assigned clients.

Lesley-Ann also will provide oversight for the development and implementation of her client’s social media plans, assess and advise them on the viability and scalability of promotional offers that are presented, and participate in new business pitches as needed.

Her initial client list includes: Hyatt Regency Trinidad; Paradise Beach Nevis; Ocean Club Resorts (Turks and Caicos); and Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina (The Bahamas).

“Throughout her multifaceted career, Lesley-Ann has successfully managed strategic and tactical marketing and public relations plans for locations and brands.  As a result, she is adept at generating publicity for client’s initiatives and programs and we are happy to have her expertise onboard,” said agency President and Founder Cheryl Andrews.

Prior to joining CAMC, Lesley-Ann a Caribbean-American national from Jamaica worked with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Jamaica’s Tourism Development Company, Jamaica Promotions Corporation, McCann-Erickson advertising and the Cayman Islands Government. She also handled freelance strategic planning, brand development and integrated marketing and communications work for private clients.

Miss Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a major in marketing.
