United States Trade & Development Agency among Participating Organizations in Invest Caribbean 2009
Washington, DC – The United States Trade & Development Agency will be participating in the Invest Caribbean 2009, 11th Annual Caribbean American Leadership Dialogue hosted by the Institute of Caribbean Studies.
Nathan Younge, Regional Director, Latin America & the Caribbean, USTDA will provide information regarding USTDA’s programs in the Caribbean and how its resources can benefit individuals interested in business opportunities in the Caribbean. Invest Caribbean 2009 themed, “Emerging Opportunities in a Lean Economy,” will be held on November 13, 2009 at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel, Washington, D.C. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

· Her Excellency Glenda Morean-Phillip, Ambassador, Embassy of Trinidad & Tobago.
· Dr. Nsombi Jaja, Managing Director, Quality Management Consultancy Limited, ICS Board Member and co-chair of the ICS Private Sector Council, serves as moderator of the event.
Panel topics will include discussions on 1) emerging investment and business opportunities in the Caribbean despite the global economic downturn; 2) energy and infrastructure investments and 3) financing opportunities for investments in the Caribbean.
The annual Invest Caribbean: Caribbean American Leadership Dialogue brings together a select group of U.S. and Caribbean-American business leaders, the Caribbean Diplomatic Corps, policy makers, and financiers to engage in dialogue centered on economic optimization and collaboration. We aim to create an opportunity where leaders can build on the economic and cultural bridges nationally and across the globe.
