U.S. Congresswoman Clarke visits South Florida to rally Caribbean’s for Obama

MIAMI – On Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, U.S. Representative Yvette Clarke (D-New York) will be in South Florida to talk to members of the Caribbean community about Senator Barack Obama’s vision to bring the change we need to America and to educate Florida’s voters about the voting process.

The daughter of Jamaican immigrants, Clarke is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and will visit campaign offices and Caribbean Carnivals in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

U.S. Representative Clarke has worked on the New York City Council and in Congress for equality and opportunity for minorities and women. From her seat on the House Education and Labor Committee, she has also worked for better healthcare and education.
