The newly formed Trinidad & Tobago Tourism Development Company is expected to be fully functional by July 15, according to Tourism Minister, Howard Chin Lee. The main thrust of the company will be to manage tourism promotion, marketing and development.
Minister Chin Lee also announced that the ministry will be hosting the second annual Tourism Park from August 14 to 21. This year’s park will focus on the marine life and ecotourism products of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Park aims at encouraging domestic tourism, increasing the awareness of the public of the importance of tourism and promoting local sites and attractions throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Chin Lee who recently returned from Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week in New York, said the media reception there attracted a number of international media houses from a variety of travel and entertainment lifestyles and food disciplines.
