Trinidad and Tobago’s Holy House Production Signs International Music Distribution Deal

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad – Trinidad and Tobago’s Holy House production has struck gold, securing a distribution deal with INgrooves- Universal. The contractual agreement between the local production house and the digital media distribution and technology company was signed earlier this week and will solidify on April 12th when distribution of tracks on Holy House Production’s Flex riddim, commences.

Producer, Mr. Spine sealed the deal after talks with musical cohort ABM who runs Trini Platinum Entertainment – an independent label based in Los Angeles. Trini Platinum Entertainment also has a distribution deal with San Francisco based, INgrooves-Universal and as such was able to make the necessary introductions that led to a deal with the local outfit.

The one-year arrangement will see the music of artistes such as the Millionaire Family, make digital strides across some 50 countries, including the United States and Europe. Mobile and online download retailers serviced by the 9-year-old company include Amazon.com, eMusic, iTunes and Rhapsody with additional leverage being attained via distribution channels, Rdio and Spotify. INgrooves-Universal also offers mobile products such as ringtones and ringbacks to over 700 online stores around the world.

Holy House Production’s Mr. Spine says while the music on the Flex riddim cannot be categorized as Soca, he is confident that the distribution company will have no qualms when it comes to distributing tracks on soca riddims. The Flex riddim features T&T’s Millionaire Family artistes Orlando Octave, Kerry John, Fadda Moses and Smooth. Beyond the Flex riddim, the local super-producer says he is currently working on other compilations for release. Additionally, with plans to further market the Millionaire Family overseas, Spine says the group will soon finalize a tour of the United States. “This is a blessing,” said the 23–year- old Central, Trinidad native, adding, “I now have an avenue to funnel my music out to the world.”
