TALLAHASSEE – Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurman issued the following statement on Senator Barack Obama choosing Senator Joe Biden as his running mate:
“Joe Biden is one of our nation’s finest leaders, who has worked for decades in the Senate to make our nation a better place while not becoming a creature of Washington.
“As Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable leaders on foreign policy issues. He has stared down dictators and worked with our allies to promote America’s interests on the world stage.
