Tenet’s South Florida Hospitals join forces to send aid to Haiti
MIAMI – Tenet Healthcare Corp. five hospitals in Miami-Dade & Broward County have teamed up to assist Haitians who were ravaged by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
North Shore Medical Center, Hialeah Hospital and Coral Gables Hospital will serve as collection points in Miami-Dade for non-perishable food items, and Florida Medical Center will be a drop-off location in Broward County.
The hospitals are asking both employees and members of the public to donate items such as rice, dry beans, canned goods, powdered milk, cereals, pasta, flour, sugar, bottled water and new and used clothing. Items can be dropped off in the lobbies of each hospital between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday until Sept. 19.
Palmetto Hospital in Hialeah also is supporting the effort, but is only taking donations from employees and doctors.
All donations will be delivered to the Archdiocese of Miami – St. James Catholic Church for distribution in Haiti. Below are the hospitals serving as public drop-off locations:
