St. Kitts to host Credit Union Executives Society’s symposium next year

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – St. Kitts is the venue for the United States-based Credit Union Executives Society’s (CUES) symposium next February.

The February 1st to 5th meeting is slated to be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino.

The CUES Symposium is the only event in the credit union industry that is focused solely on increasing the effectiveness of the vital relationship between the CEO and board chair. It is designed to help meet the challenges of working together and leading the organisation successfully forward. Through team-building activities and communication-enhancing experiences, the retreat is expected to result in improving dialogue and developing a unified vision for credit unions.

The Opening Speaker will be the Chairman, President and CEO of ING Direct USA, Arkadi Kuhlmann.

Kuhlmann’s high-energy session will engage attendees in an interactive discussion over the course of nearly four hours, allowing the CEO/Chairman teams to delve deep into hot topics and draw on Kuhlmann’s experience leading one of the most innovative companies in the financial services industry.

ING Direct arrived on the financial services scene in 2000 as one of the first companies to offer online banking. In eight years of operation, it has attracted approximately six million depositors and $80 billion in assets by breaking from conventional ways of offering service.

Kuhlmann gave his first large-group presentation in the U.S. credit union movement at CUES Experience: Immersion Learning for Marketing, Technology & Operations Leaders in May. His insightful session received 97% excellent/good ratings from attendees.

CUES is a Madison, Wisconsin-based independent membership association for credit union executives worldwide with a mission is to educate and develop credit union CEOs, directors and future leaders.(CUOPM)
