[FORT LAUDERDALE] – Jamaicans.com made a donation of $1000 (US) on October 12 to the Jamaica Heart Foundation in the name of Marcia “Ackeegirl” Davidson.
Marcia Davidson was instrumental to the Jamaicans.com website and served as the first moderator, first administrator, and in many other areas. She had the heart of an angel and loved the website, and the Jamaican community. She succumbed to her long fight with heart disease on July 14th, 2003. Saddened and shocked over losing her, the site vowed to do an annual donation to the Heart foundation in her honor.
This year site members donated $1000 (US)and this will mark the second year of a donation.
“On behalf of the www.Jamaicans.com online community we are honored to support the Jamaica Heart Foundation” said Founder and Webmaster, Xavier Murphy.
“Our dear member and friend Jamaican native Marcia Davidson passed away in July 2003 of heart failure. We hope this small token can help in the fight against heart disease in her memory”.
