Non-profit Caribbean agency and WorkForce One to partner
FT. LAUDERDALE – Minority Development & Empowerment, Inc. a not-for profit agency established in 1996 with a goal to provide programs and services to the Haitian and other minority communities in Broward County has partnered with WorkForce One to expand the “Bridge to Success” program.
The “Bridge to Success” program provides work readiness training, job placement assistance, academic assistance, college preparation, childcare services, and a number of other opportunities that offer young people the chance to advance in life. Anyone between 16 and 21 years of age, a High School Senior, or not attending school is eligible to participate in this program.
The new Minority Development / WorkForce One Bridge to Success Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Saturday hours by appointment only. Potential students can call the center at (954) 580-1360, or stop by at 1350 S. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach.
Minority Development & Empowerment, Inc. is committed to providing quality services, referrals and is an advocacy to the Caribbean immigrant population in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Their primary objective is to ensure and facilitate access to meet their clients’ health, social, economic, educational and personal needs.
