NEWSTALK 1080 AM to broadcast “live” from The Triangle in Opa Locka
Opa Locka – Too many young children are dying by the hands of violence in our neighborhoods and NEWSTALK 1080 AM WTPS will be taking its message of community action right to the streets.
Following up on our successful remote broadcasts from Liberty City and Fort Lauderdale, WTPS’ “Wake Up South Florida with James T” morning show will broadcast from Young, Bowers and Brown Cultural Arts Building on 2105 Ali-Baba Avenue in Opalocka on Wednesday August 16th from 6:00-10:00AM. NEWSTALK 1080 AM WTPS will create a venue for local residents and community members to address the rise in violent crime and youth murders in our neighborhoods, specifically in the triangle of Opa Locka.
“We’re asking the community and the police …how can we work together to reduce the incidence of violent crime… From the triangle to every home in Opa-Locka, in Miami and throughout South Florida,” James T. said.
The issues affecting South Florida’s urban communities are too important to ignore; That’s why NEWSTALK 1080 AM WTPS, “the peoples’ station,” is taking the station to the people.
The community is asked to come out and show support, tune in, voice your concerns and listen live on the web, www.wtps1080am.com.
