Miami-Dade Elections Department is ready to welcome voters on election day

MIAMI – As Early Voting concludes this Sunday, October 31, the Miami-Dade Elections Department is now ensuring polling places are ready to accommodate voters on Election Day, and reminds voters to come prepared.

“Voters who did not take advantage of early voting must go to their assigned precincts on Election Day,” said Supervisor of Elections Lester Sola. “We ask all voters review their sample ballot and make their decisions prior to going to the polls in order to accommodate everyone as swiftly and smoothly as possible.”

Miami-Dade Election Poll Worker Michael Cooke instructs Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade on casting his ballot during early voting at the Stephen P. Clark Center.

The Supervisor of Elections reminds voters that:

– Tuesday, Nov. 2nd is Election Day.

– Unlike during Early Voting, they must go to their assigned polling place, which is listed on their Voter Information Card.

– Voters must bring a photo ID with a signature to vote.

– Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; everyone in line by 7:00 PM will be able to vote.

– A customized sample ballot is available on the

– Department’s website by clicking “Sample Ballot”.

– Miami-Dade Elections ensures all eligible voters their right to vote. Any person who believes that he/she is eligible to vote, but who is not deemed eligible by polling place personnel, can always vote a provisional ballot, which will be considered by the Miami-Dade County Canvassing Board.
