Delray Beach – The Highland Agency, an international marketing and public relations company has announced it will publish a Florida Caribbean Business Directory 2013. The publication will be circulated free of cost and will be available by the end of December.
The Delray Beach, Florida, company said it would be the first directory of its kind that will list Caribbean American owned business and professional services available across the state of Florida as well as businesses that want to reach the more than quarter million Caribbean Americans resident here. The directory will also list business based in the Caribbean with an interest in doing business with counterparts in Florida.
“The Caribbean American market in Florida is a market that must not be ignored. With earnings at 97 per cent of the national average this segment of the population has significant disposable income and is known for spending on a range of products and services including food, entertainment, travel, medical services, household items, automobiles and education. Many are small business owners looking for great deals from manufacturers and distributors. Caribbean products such as condiments, seafood, bakery products and beverages are now sought by mainstream shoppers and members of the Caribbean Diaspora. Caribbean restaurants and nightclubs are increasingly being patronized by all Americans,” said Victoria Gordon, the company’s chief sales executive.
The Caribbean region is one of Florida’s major trading partners. Florida is the gateway to the Caribbean for trade and travel. Over US$ 8 billion dollars in trade is conducted between the two each year and there are endless business opportunities waiting to be exploited, Gordon said.
“Apart from the listings of business enterprises and key government agencies this directory will also offer useful tips and information you can use in the daily conduct of your business,” Ms. Gordon said.
