Americas Society and Council of the Americas Host Private Breakfast Meeting highlighting investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago

MIAMI – His Excellency Dr. Neil Parsan, Ambassador of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the United States of America was the featured speaker at a private Breakfast Meeting hosted by the Americas Society and the Council of the Americas.

The Ambassador focused his presentation on the country’s burgeoning sectors including, inter alia, Creative Industries, Tourism, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The Meeting was held at the Headquarters of HBO Latin America in Miami in July 2013.

The Meeting brought together investors and businesspersons from a cross section of companies including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citibank, Cisco Systems, JP Morgan, Master Card and Novartis, amongst others, for an in-depth, intimate discussion on business and investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago.

During his presentation, Ambassador Parsan highlighted the Government’s diversification strategy which focuses heavily on the development of the non-energy sector. Light manufacturing, agribusiness, downstream industries and capital markets are all sectors that have been earmarked for development and Ambassador Parsan mentioned specific investment opportunities that are available in these sectors.

Executives from the Chaguaramas Development Authority also attended the meeting and highlighted the unique investment opportunity that exists on Trinidad and Tobago’s North-Western Tip – Chaguaramas.
