Macy’s Florida to receive Supplier Diversity Leadership Award from the Florida Regional Minority Business Council

MIAMI – Florida Regional Minority Business Council (FRMBC) will present the Supplier Diversity Leadership Award to Macy’s Florida for its outstanding support of minority business development at its monthly PowerNet meeting. J. David Scheiner, President and Chief Operating Officer of Macy’s Florida will receive the award on behalf of the corporation on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at the company’s downtown Miami headquarters, 22 East Flagler Street, sixth floor.

As one of America’s leading retailers, Macy’s has long been recognized for its commitment to fostering the promotion, growth and development of its vendor resources, including minority and women-owned enterprises.

Several of FRMBC’s Minority Business Enterprises are doing business with Macy’s including Colonial Press International, All American Pressure Cleaning & Painting, Vila & Son Landscaping, Miami Metals, Designers in Motion, Best Wholesale Office Products, Jem Promotions and Himistry.
