Life becomes a Beach at Reggae Sumfest this Sunday

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – The temperature at the beach in Montego Bay is sure to rise degrees hotter this Sunday as Reggae Sumfest, Jamaica`s best, the world`s greatest reggae festival, gets underway for 2008.

Life will become one big `beach party` on Sunday as Classique, Crazy Neil, Danger Zone, Arif Cooper and the Pace Band gear up to bring the rhythm to beach goers. Also added to the beach party line-up are Nickeisha Barnes and Romaine Virgo. Ticket prices for the beach party kick-off is US15 or J $1,000.

Sumfest this year will commence at 8:30 p.m. Jamaican time each night, beginning on July 13th and continuing nightly on July 17, 18 and 19th.

Sumfest will continue on July 17th as dance hall stars Beenie Man, Spice, Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Voice Mail, Macka Diamond, Vybz Kartel, Harry Toddler, Busy Signal, Munga Honourable, Ninja Man, Busy Signal, Wayne Marshall, Assassin, Mavado, D’Angel, Konshens & Alley Cat turn the temperature up on the world`s greatest reggae festival.

Tickets for dancehall night is US429 or J$2,100. Sumfest`s international appeal takes over on Friday, July 18th when Rapper Lil Wayne joins R&B singer, Keyshia Cole, known for hits like `Should A Let You Go,` `Heaven Sent` and `I Remember,` at International night. They are set to share the stage with reggae`s conscious voices, Richie Spice, Coco Tea, Queen Ifrica, Lutan Fyah and the almost soulful, Terry Linen. Tickets to the international night will cost US$46 or J$3,200.

The curtains of Reggae Sumfest will come down on Saturday, July 19, as the legendary John Holt, reggae crooner Beres Hammond and T-Pain, get ready to thrill fans alongside Tarrus Riley, Rootz Underground and Etana. Tickets to the Saturday night finale is US$50 or J$3500.
