Leading Shipping Company To The Caribbean Adds New Refrigerated Containers

RIVIERA BEACH – Tropical Shipping, one of the leading carriers to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, has taken delivery of 525 new refrigerated containers, including 150, 20 foot containers and 375, 40 foot containers.

The new containers arrived at the Port of Palm Beach on March 19, 2010 and they are the first shipment of more than 750 new refrigerated containers purchased by Tropical. The second shipment of refrigerated containers is due for delivery to the Port of Palm Beach in early 2011.
The Carrier PrimeLINE™ state-of-the-art containers are designed to keep maintenance and energy consumption down while being more environmentally friendly.

Today, the company owns and leases more than 17,000 pieces of equipment, including more than 4,000 chassis, 8,500 dry containers, 1,600 pieces of specialized equipment such as flat racks, open tops, etc. and 3,425 refrigerated containers – all of which are strategically located throughout the U.S., Bahamas, Caribbean and Canada.


Tropical Shipping took delivery of 525 new refrigerated containers on March 19, 2010.
