Kiwanis Club of Sunrise launch inaugural event: Pirates from the Caribbean–Buccaneer Bash
SUNRISE – The Kiwanis Club of Greater Sunrise is breaking out from the normal Banquet style events by launching its Inaugural Spring Theme Party with the theme: Pirates from the Caribbean –Buccaneer Bash.
This “come as you are buccaneer style” gala will be held in the formal surrounds of the Signature Grand on Friday, March 30, 2007 starting at 9:00 pm with music provided by the inimitable “Code Red” Band.
This Kiwanis club is one of the youngest in South Florida having been chartered under the auspices of The Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes/West Sunrise. “This club is shaping up to be one of the most creative clubs in Florida”, said Distinguish President and Club Builder Anthony (Tony Dee) D’Oyley.
“Buccaneer Bash” is intended to attract party goers who want a different kind of fun. While this is not strictly a costume party, invitees are asked to bring some gadget, like a sword or a red bandana; wear a pirate costume or a simple patch over one eye; brandish a fake sword or a telescope to create the ambiance of pirate days. The venue will be decorated in the style of old pirate days, while the dynamic “Code Red” Band blares live party music.
