Join FAVACA for Caribbean Carnival Kickoff and Cocktails for a Cause in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH – Florida Association for Volunteer Action in the Caribbean and the Americas (FAVACA), in association with the Caribbean Consular Corp., presents “Carnival for the Development of the Caribbean,” a delightful fundraising event to be held from 9-11 p.m. on Friday, February 27, at SET nightclub, 320 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. The event is open to the public.

The “Carnival Kickoff” is being held to garner greater awareness and get more young people involved in FAVACA. Specifically, the event is intended to raise funds to be used for increasing the number of volunteers FAVACA send to the Caribbean to render technical assistance in the areas of health, environment, agriculture and small business development.

Currently, FAVACA receives three requests for every one volunteer the organization is able to fund.

For a $25 donation to the cause, guests will enjoy an open rum bar, complimentary champagne, and the thrilling sounds of DJ John Cash. There will also be opportunities to win prizes such as artwork, tickets to cultural events and dinners at well-known restaurants.
