Jamaica’s Winter Airlift Boosted with American Airlines Increased Service from Chicago
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Tourist Board is celebrating the launch of new American Airlines flights from Chicago’s O’Hare International to Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. Beginning today, American is adding three nonstop flights per week, bringing this carrier’s total to five weekly round-trip flights that will operate between these gateways.
“The additional American Airlines flights make a Jamaican getaway a breeze for travelers from the Chicago area,” said Jamaica’s Director of Tourism John Lynch. “With seasonal service five days a week, they now have extra options for a long weekend or winter escape to enjoy our great beaches, exciting cultural attractions, wonderful food, and warm hospitality.”
“We’ve seen a definite increase in demand for flights to Jamaica from residents of the greater Chicagoland area,” said Loretta Kuss, American’s Director of Passenger Sales – Chicago. “The nonstop four-hour flight is the fastest way to reach a true winter paradise.”
American Airlines will fly round-trip between Chicago and Montego Bay on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this winter. Jamaica flights are operated using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which offers 16 first-class seats and 144 economy-class seats.
