Jamaica’s “Ting” favorite beverage at ZestFest

Ft. Worth, TX – Popular Jamaican beverage “Ting” scored first prize in the ZestFest, the annual food festival, recently held in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jamaica’s “Ting” received the People’s Preference Award for first place in the Beverage Section.

Described as ‘the drink made from real Jamaican grapefruit’, Ting has gained popularity over the years in Jamaica as well as internationally and is produced by Desnoes and Geddes (D&G) Limited of Jamaica.

The annual three-day festival attracted nearly 10,000 patrons to learn, taste and experience new and flavorful foods and beverages from around the world.

A wide selection of Jamaica’s taste and flavors was displayed and coordinated by the Jamaica Tourist Board which one of the nearly 100 booths featuring a variety of spicy samples prepared by local and international chefs, The tastes and flavors attracted influential trade buyers from large distributors, and specialty gourmet and grocery stores throughout North America and other regions.

Participating Jamaican manufacturers included Grace Kennedy Limited and Walkerswood Caribbean Foods Limited showcasing a display of other beverages and sauces.

Ms. Diana Willis, media manager of the JTB spoke of the positive response to Jamaican booth which gave high visibility to our tourist attractions and our exotic flavors.
