Jamaica’s PM, Hon. Andrew Holness to visit South Florida – Dec. 3rd
MIRAMAR – Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Hon. Andrew Holness will pay an official visit to the South Florida community this weekend where he will be the special guest at several public and private events.
This will be his first official overseas visit to South Florida since his recent appointment last month (Oct. 19) as Jamaica’s ninth Prime Minister and the youngest to take the seat of the nation’s highest political office at age 39 years.
The Prime Minister will begin his schedule at a Community Forum to be held on Saturday (Dec. 3), starting at 3:30 p.m., to be held at the Christway Baptist Church located at 3800 South Douglas Road in Miramar. He is expected to address nationals and friends of the Diaspora in areas they can participate in Jamaica’s economic development.

Later that evening, the Prime Minister will attend a private reception in his honor before returning home.
Prior to his appointment, the Prime Minister had made several visits to South Florida formerly as the Minister of Education where he addressed several forums on the nation’s educational development.
The weekend events are being organized by the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), and the Florida based young professional arm of the organization, G2K Miami, Florida.
