Jamaican Sex & Relationship Therapist, Machel Hunt for NBT Talks in Atlanta

ATLANTA – Jamaican psychosexual therapist & relationship counsellor Machel Hunt is among the featured panelists at the August 2018 edition of NBT Talks Atlanta, to be held at Ponce City Market on Tuesday, August 21 starting at 6:00 pm.

NBT Talks Atlanta is an intimate dialogue series featuring individuals who are successfully on the pursuant path towards their Next Big Thing share first hand experiences of their journey.

Founded in 2013 by George Olokun, Next Big Thing Movement, has become the platform that serves as a launching pad for creative millennials.

Since inception, NBT has provided millennials with a forum, social capital, and tools to move their ideas forward. Being a non-profit global social movement, the organization’s platforms only serve to encourage collaboration, cultivating voices for visions, and helping dreamers turn their passions into prosperous careers. This experience serves as a platform to encourage, empower, and refresh the way life is lived.

Hunt, who brings more than a decade of experience as a sex and relationship therapist will join an illustrious panel comprising Saptosa Foster, award-winning communications strategist; Jerrund Wilkerson, talent manager and Nick Hagelin, Atlanta singer/songwriter.

Machel Hunt

Hunt is an Accredited Relationship Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist. Born and raised in London, he is also a trainer and development consultant.

A sex and relationship specialist, Hunt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Greenwich in London, a Master’s of Science in Counselling Psychology from Westminster University in London and a Post Graduate Masters in Relationship Counselling and Psychosexual Therapy from the Institute of Sexuality and Human Relations.

Since emigrating to the United States years ago, he has worked with individuals and families to provide one on one counselling, couples counselling and structured support through his work at Harlem Children Zone and his private practice on the Upper East Side in New York and subsequently in midtown Atlanta.


Mr. Hunt now resides in Atlanta where he is employed by the Hope Clinic, a part of Emory University Vaccine Center, managing the Community Engagement and Recruitment Team as well as clinical research projects to facilitate local community involvement and engagement.
