Jamaican Diaspora Southern USA to hold its Fall Summitt meeting Sept. 22
South Florida – The Advisory Board leadership of the Jamaican Diaspora Southern USA will convene the quarterly general meeting of nationals and friends of the Diaspora to be held this Saturday, September 22, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the Holy Family Episcopal Church, 18501, NW Seventh Avenue in Miami Gardens.
The Fall summit titled “Forging Ahead….On a Mission”, will continue engagement and support for organization of the Jamaican Diaspora, and the advisory board leadership.

Those attending the forum and Jamaican nationals across the surrounding communities will participate in discussions which will seek to provide information invite suggestions, questions and answers, as well as update on governance, coordination and funding for Diaspora activities.
Discussion will also focus on programmes to positively and actively engage the Diaspora youth in areas relating to leadership and cultural awareness.
Elected Diaspora members, headed by Dr. Susan Lycett Davis, and appointed Council members have been meeting on a monthly basis and so far have advanced several old and new initiatives.
Advisory Board representative, Dr. Susan Davis is appealing to all nationals and friends of the Jamaican Diaspora to attend the Summit which is free to the public. “Let’s dialog as we move forward and continue to leverage for our personal interest and that of our homeland, Jamaica”, she emphasized.
